This is the fourth of eight volumes devoted to Marcello's large collection of sacred music, which was also originally published in eight volumes. This volume contains works four one to four voices with continuo, on psalm paraphrases by the Venetian poet Girolamo Ascanio Giustiniani. This edition is based on the first print of the fourth volume, published by Domenico Lovisa in 1724.
