String Quartet No. 4 : After, Life (2021).

In one movement. With program and performance notes. Commissioned by 45th Parallel Universe. Composed for the Pixis Quartet. There are no parts; all players read from score. This work uses a time-based graphic notation. This work requires mutes for all players. Violin I requires a guitar finger slide and a wooden, hexagonal pencil. All instruments should be amplified. Amplification is preferred over the use of solid-body electric instruments. Duration ca. 11 minutes.
