In one movement. Composed for cellist Anssi Karttunen in memory of Oliver Knussen. Premiered in Quebec, June 2024. This piece is based on a fragment of the cello part from Knussen’s Whitman Settings, combined with materials from the composer’s earlier work, Le Chai au Quai.
