This arrangement is based on Schubert’s Swan Song, and was likely written in 1837. Words by Ludwig Rellstab printed over the melody in German, and printed as text with English and French translations before the score. Fingering by Evgeny Kissin. The primary source for this volume is the New Edition published by Robert Lienau in Berlin, ca. February 1876. The cadenza by Liszt contained in this edition is based on a manuscript dedicated to his student Lina Schmalhausen, held at Lund Universitetsbiblioteket.
