The editors hypothesize that this anonymous arrangement was made by memory by an amateur during the height of Paganini's fame. It survives in a manuscipt collection of pieces for two guitars held in the Rischel and Birket-Smith Collection in the Royal Library of Denmark in Copenhagen.
