A renewed examination of the autograph score and the parts revealed a number o misreadings; dynamic markings in the parts also required revisions. This is th major work for chorus & orchestra by the 30 year old Bruckner, essentially still self-taught. On its basis, Simon Sechter accepted him as a student.
