Contents: Déjà vu -- Rapprochement -- Détentes. Commissioned by the University of Connecticut as winner of the Sackler Prize. Premiered by the University of Connecticut Wind Ensemble with violinist Solomiya Ivakhiv and trumpeter Louis Hanzlik, March 2017. The ensemble is scored for flute (alto flute, piccolo), oboe (English horn), clarinet, tenor saxophone, bass clarinet, bassoon (contrabassoon), horn, trombone, tuba, two percussion, piano, viola, cello, and bass. Duration ca. 30 minutes.
