Two movements for orchestra. With a preface in German and English. The March (WoO 2a) was composed as incidental music for the 1813 premiere of the play Tarpeja by Christoph Kuffner. The Introduction (WoO 2b) was originally thought to be composed for the same play, but has since been discovered to have been composed in 1805 for an early draft of the opera Leonore. Reprinted from an earlier edition published by Breitkopf & Härtel.
