Vanhal composed his only double bass concerto in the late 1780s, probably for Johannes Sperger. This volume includes piano reductions of the music in D major and in C major. One of the two parts is for solo or orchestra tuning in C major. The other contains versions for orchestra tuning in D major as well as Viennese tuning. With a preface in German, English, and French. Critical notes in German and English. Includes cadenzas, fingerings and bowings by the editor.
