Text by Alice Goodman. Commissioned by Salisbury Cathedral to mark the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta. Premiered in June 2015 by the Salisbury Cathedral Choir and La Folia, conducted by David Halls. In eight sections separated by short instrumental preludes, the cantata explores the text of clauses 39 and 40 (right to due legal process), and is framed by a prelude and postlude. Duration: ca. 35 minutes.
