These are the first two published sets of keyboard sonatas composed by Bach. They first appeared in the early 1740s. This edition of the Prussian Sonatas Wq 48 is based on the first print, published by Balthasar Schmid in Nuremberg. This edition of the Württemberg Sonatas Wq 49 is based on the autograph, as well as the first print.
