Edited by Ernst Herttrich. In one movement. Schumann composed this work at the end of 1842 and beginning of 1843. This original version remained unpublished in Schumann's lifetime; he created a version for two solo pianos which was published as Op. 46 in 1843. This edition of the original version is based on Schumann's autograph, which diverges in many ways from the 1893 edition edited by Brahms. This parts set includes the cellos and horn only.
