Commissioned by Almeida Aldeburgh Opera and the Bregenzer Festspiele. Libretto by Stephen Plaice. This work calls for six voices, and an instrumental ensemble of basset clarinet, 2 violins, viola, and cello. There are only two characters in the opera, but they each have three representations.
