This piece first appeared in Handel's Suite No. 7 in G minor for harpsichord. With a preface. Halvorsen created popular arrangements of this work for violin and viola and violin and cello. Heifetz created a version for two violins from this arrangement in 1920, and revised it in 1966. This is the first edition of Heifetz's version. Edition supervised by Stephen Shipps and Endre Granat.
