Edited by Ruth F. Davis. Between November 1936 and April 1937, the Palestine Broadcasting Service presented twelve programs by ethnomusicologist Lachmann. The programs offered live recordings of traditional music from the various communities of Palestine, as well as discussion. This book presents transcripts of the scripts and music presented in the broadcasts. The CDs contain selected digitally restored musical recordings. With a preface, introduction, plates, and references.
