This comedy in one act was a collaborative effort between the singer Favart and the bassoonist and composer Blaise. The work was based on a tale written by Jean-Francois Marmontel, and incorporates many well-known melodies of the day. With a preface in English, German and French. Index of scenes and numbers. Cast and orchestration. This edition is based on the earliest available sources from early 1762. The score comes with a flash drive which includes a critical report and access to many different sources.
