Cayla (1889-1951) was a musician and one of the first editors of the traditional music of the Auvergne region of France. He wrote these memoirs in 1948, and they were first published between 1968 and 1972 in the magazine Paris-Centre-Auvergne. With a preface by Andre Ricros and introduction by Roland Manoury.
