In five movements: 1. Crossing -- 2. On and Off -- 3. The Shoreline Lullaby -- 4. Whistling and Listening -- 5. In Twos and Threes (Motor Rhythm). Commissioned by the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival. Premiered in Eastsound, WA, August 2012, by Aloysia Friedmann and Jon Kimura Parker. The soloist plays violin in movements 1, 2 and 5; and viola in movements 3 and 4. Of advanced difficulty.
