In one movement. With a program note. Composed for the 1999 Aspen Music Festival Contemporary Ensemble. The work is named for a road near the home of the composer's great-grandmother, which he visited often as a child. Scored for flute (piccolo), clarinet, percussion, violin, cello and piano.
