Cribelli studied music at the Accademia dei Chierici in Bergamo and continued in Parma with Pietro Ponzio. He became tenor, and later director of the cappella della Madonna della Steccata, a post he maintained until his death in 1617. Edited and with preface by Salvatore Villani.
