Bohemian horn player, violinis and composer who assumed the name Giovanni Punt . Mozart, whom he met in Paris in 1778 was impressed with his virtuosity and following their acquaintance in Vienna, 1800, Beethoven wrote for Stich a sona ta for horn and piano (op. 17) and played it with him at a concert.
