Fireflies -- Luna Moth -- Bees. With program, performance, and biographical notes. Commissioned by Robert Löcken. All three pieces feature flute, clarinet, and piano. Fireflies features alto saxophone (or 2nd B-flat clarinet), Luna Moth features bass clarinet (or baritone saxophone), and Bees features bass horn (or tenor sax). Performers are encouraged to improvise the sounds of insects flying prior to each movement.
