Commissioned by the BBC and first performed by Alban Gerhardt, with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Ilan Volkov at the BBC Proms on 13 August 2009. Second movement commissioned by Berishen Staatsoper and Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra. Duration: ca. 30 minutes.
