This symphony in four movements was on of the composer's most celebrated and performed during her life time. For decades it was considered lost, with only a piano four-hands version in existence. Conductor and composer Stefan Malzew, who worked extensively on Emilie Mayer’s music, as well as those of her contemporaries, reconstructed the orchestral score.
