Catone In Utica : Variations For The Da Capo of The Arias by Alessandro Ciccolini - Vocal Score.

From the opera in three acts, Cantone in Utica (1737), on a libretto by Pietro Metastasio. Critical edition by Alan Curtis. Musicologist Ciccolini reconstructed Vivaldi's opera from the autograph, which is missing the overture and first act. He also supplied these variations for 18 Da Capo arias in the opera, to be sung upon the return of the first section of each aria. This edition contains vocal scores, and includes only the variations, not the complete arias.
