Bernardi, Steffano, (1575-1637.)
A collection of twenty motets with continuo, and six four-part sonatas with continuo. With an introduction and critical notes in Italian. Abstract in English. Bernardi composed these works after returning to his hometown of Verona in 1611 following a long stay in Rome. The works are fine examples of the concerto treatment of voices popular at the time.
