Commissioned by radio station WGUC in Cincinnati and premiered by the CSO with principal flutist Randall Bowman on the Linton Music Series, April 2002. In six movements, each evoking a concept of the artist as perceived by the composer while viewing the works at the Metropolitan Museum in New York.
